ToggleA Repentigny exterminator costs $399 for carpenter ants and insects, $409 for mice, and $429 for bed bugs. That is a unit up to a 4 ½. A house costs more because there is a basement, a garage and an exterior to treat. The full list is published below, so you do not have to book a visit to find out.
We are Local Extermination. 14 years around Montreal, 9,000 clients, 6 licensed technicians. Mice, rats and insects: that is all we do, and it is why we are quick at it.

In Repentigny, Carpenter Ants Lead the List
This is the pest we hear about most here, by a distance. Three things explain it, and they stack.
The trees first. The older streets along rue Notre-Dame and the river have sixty years of canopy, and an old maple houses colonies in its dead wood long before it sends any your way. Then the water: the city sits where the Rivière L’Assomption meets the St. Lawrence, the water table is high and outdoor wood dries slowly. Then the housing, mostly detached homes with a balcony, a deck and a shed, which is a lot of wood spending the winter wet.
The rest follows the usual suburban calendar: mice in autumn, wasps in August, and bed bugs that travel with objects rather than through walls.
Carpenter Ants
An exterminator for carpenter ants is not chasing ants, they are looking for water. The ants do not eat wood, they hollow it out to nest in, and they need it damp.
What you notice first: large black ants indoors, fine sawdust under a windowsill, a balcony or a deck joint, and in May the swarm, winged ants all at once at the same window.
When to call: the May swarm is the clear signal, because a colony only produces winged ants once it is established, often after two or three years. A few scouts in July can wait. Sawdust that keeps reappearing in the same spot cannot: it means something is still being hollowed out.
What makes treatment work: finding the nest and the moisture, not just spraying what walks past. A parent colony in a stump at the back of the lot can feed satellite nests in your balcony for years. Kill the satellites and leave the source and you start again every spring. We inspect the lot as well as the house, and you get in writing what needs to dry out.
Indoor treatment from $399, $399 for a bungalow. Outdoor from $129 for one visit, or $327 for a three-visit plan, which is worth it when the source is a neighbouring woodlot or stump.
Mice
Mice are the pest that fills our autumns. An exterminator for mice has one busy season here, and this is it. One mouse in September is a family by January.
What you notice first: droppings along a baseboard, about the size of a grain of rice, then scratching inside a wall or above a ceiling, loudest around dusk.
Why Repentigny: a mouse fits through a gap the width of a pencil. The hardened seal at the bottom of an attached garage door is the entry point we find most often, followed by the dryer vent and the service entry. The farmland toward L’Assomption and Lavaltrie sends its share of field mice on the first cold night.
What makes treatment work: finding the entry points, not just placing bait. Bait alone drops the population for a few weeks, then the next ones use the same hole. You get the list in writing.
From $409 for a unit, $429 for a bungalow. Perimeter work on a house is $299.
Wasps
What you notice first: steady traffic in and out of one point: a soffit, the corner of a shed, a hole in the lawn. A nest is bigger than its entrance suggests.
Why Repentigny: calls peak in August. Big lots mean ground nests in the lawn as well as soffit nests, and the shed at the back of the yard comes up every year. The eaves above a patio door are close behind.
What makes treatment work: not doing it yourself. A disturbed nest defends itself, and hardware-store spray rarely reaches the inside.
One nest is $189. A full treatment covering every nest we find is $259, and each extra nest is $39.
Bed Bugs
The hardest pest on this page, and the one where do-it-yourself does the most damage.
What you notice first: bites in a line or a small cluster on skin that was uncovered overnight, then small dark spots near the mattress seam.
Why Repentigny: here it is almost always an object that brought them in, second-hand furniture, a suitcase, a mattress collected from a stranger. The apartment buildings near the centre and around rue Notre-Dame get the other version, where they move between units.
What makes treatment work: preparation and a second visit. They survive months without feeding, so one pass rarely finishes it.
From $429, rising to $549 for a 10 ½. A bungalow is $469.
Cockroaches, Rats and Spiders
An exterminator for cockroaches treats a building, not a door. Roaches move through plumbing chases and shared walls. In a detached house they arrive in cardboard and stay put. From $429 for a unit, $469 for a bungalow, $499 for a restaurant.
Spiders and silverfish follow humidity rather than food, so an exterminator for spiders is usually looking at a damp basement. Both start at $399 indoors.
Rats follow water and construction. The banks of the St. Lawrence and the Rivière L’Assomption give them sheltered runs, and an excavation moves a colony into the surrounding buildings within days. They need a bigger opening than mice, so the entry points can be found and closed. From $409, perimeter control $299, and $230 for a single rat.

When Repentigny Pests Show Up, Month by Month
- March to May. The big carpenter ant window: they swarm as the wood thaws. Wasps start their first nests.
- June to August. Wasps peak in August, and the 1 July moving date carries bed bugs around with the furniture.
- September to November. The first cold nights and the end of harvest push mice indoors.
- December to February. Quiet outside, busy inside: whatever came in during autumn is breeding in a heated wall.
The cheapest month to deal with mice is September. The most expensive is January.

Questions from Repentigny Residents
When Should You Call an Exterminator for Carpenter Ants?
At the May swarm, without hesitating: winged ants at a window mean a colony that has been established for two or three years, not visitors. Call too if sawdust keeps reappearing in the same spot, if you hear a dry rustling inside a wall at night, or if you see large black ants indoors in winter, which means they are nesting in the house rather than outside it.
How Much Does Carpenter Ant Extermination Cost?
$399 indoors for a unit up to a 4 ½, and $399 for a bungalow. Outdoors, $129 for one visit or $327 for three spread across the warm months. The inspection is included and so is follow-up inside the warranty.
How Do I Get Rid of a Carpenter Ant Infestation in My House?
Find the water before you buy anything. Carpenter ants nest in damp wood, so the balcony beam that stays wet, the window frame with split caulking or the stump at the back of the lot is the real target. Store-bought bait kills what crosses the counter and leaves the nest intact. A professional treatment goes after the parent colony and the satellite nests at the same time, and a spray can does not do that.
What Are the Common House Bugs in Quebec?
Carpenter ants, cockroaches, bed bugs, silverfish, centipedes, spiders and cluster flies, plus wasps outdoors from spring to autumn. In Repentigny the mix leans hard to carpenter ants, because of the mature trees and the damp ground near the two rivers. Mice and rats are rodents rather than bugs, and together they are about half our winter work.
How Much Does an Exterminator Cost for Mice in Repentigny?
$409 for a unit and $429 for a bungalow or split-level. Perimeter work, which seals and baits the outside so it stops repeating every autumn, is $299. There is no travel charge to Repentigny.
Do You Handle Raccoons, Skunks or Squirrels?
No. We do not do wildlife removal or relocation, so no raccoons, skunks, squirrels, groundhogs, birds or bats. We treat mice, rats and insects. If it is wildlife you need a licensed wildlife specialist, and we would rather tell you now than send a technician who cannot help.
The prices shown are estimates for the most common cases and can change without notice. We do our best to keep them current. Your final price depends on what the technician finds on site: how far the infestation has spread, how easy the affected areas are to reach, the condition of the property, and how many visits the job needs. You always get the exact price before any work starts.
