A Candiac exterminator costs $399 for carpenter ants and insects, $409 for mice, and $429 for bed bugs. A wasp nest is $189. These are prices, not ranges, and the full list is published below.
We are Local Extermination. 14 years around Montreal, 9,000 clients, 6 licensed technicians. Mice, rats and insects: that is all we do, and it is why we are quick at it.
What a Candiac Exterminator Costs
Most companies make you book a visit before they give you a number. We publish ours. A full indoor treatment in a 4 ½:

|---|---|
| Mice Indoor | $409 |
| Rats Indoor | $409 |
| Bedbugs | $429 |
| Cockroaches | $429 |
| Spiders Indoor | $399 |
| Ants Indoor | $399 |
| Carpet Beetles | $399 |
| Fleas Indoor | $399 |
| Silverfish Indoor | $399 |
| Centipede Indoor | $399 |
| Pantry moth | $429 |
| Clothes moth | $429 |
The prices people ask for most: a carpenter ant exterminator runs $399 to $399 for a house. An exterminator for mice is $409 to $429. A bed bug exterminator starts at $429, and an exterminator for cockroaches at $429.
Wasps have their own pricing, because the work is done at the nest rather than by the room. One nest is $189, a full treatment covers every nest we find for $259, and each extra nest is $39.
Candiac is priced the same as the island. Crossing the bridge costs nothing extra.

In Candiac the Green Edge Runs Through the Middle
Candiac was created in 1957 by a development company that had bought up former farms, and it was drawn in advance: curving streets, large lots, and an 18-hole golf course that does not border the town but runs through it. Add the river frontage and you get a geometry no other South Shore town has.
Almost everywhere else, the open space is at the edge: a field, a woodlot, a river, somewhere past the end of the development. In Candiac the open space is in the middle, and a great many lots back straight onto it.
That changes three things, and it explains how our calls are distributed here.
- Irrigated, fertilised turf is not a field. It stays green and diggable all summer, which makes it a good site for a ground wasp nest. Underground nests are proportionally more common here, and they get found with the mower, usually at the wrong speed.
- A continuous green strip is a corridor. The long grass at the margin, the tree clumps and the pond edges link streets that otherwise have nothing to do with each other. Voles and mice use it to move around inside the town rather than arriving from outside.
- A permanent edge never closes. On a lot backing onto a development woodlot, the pressure drops the day the woodlot gets built on. Here it never drops: the edge has been part of the town plan since 1957.
What that means for the treatment: on a lot touching the green space, the useful work is at ground level and around the perimeter, redone each season. On an interior street the house is settled like any suburban house. Just tell us whether your yard backs onto the green.
Wasps
The pest we get asked the price of most often here, so here it is up front: one nest, $189.
What you see: steady traffic in and out at one point. In a soffit that is visible from a distance. In the lawn it is just a hole, and it usually gets found with the mower.
Why Candiac: calls peak in August, and the share of ground nests is higher than elsewhere because of the large maintained lawns. A pool and a deck turn it into a safety problem rather than a nuisance.
What fixes it: do not touch it, and above all do not run the mower over it a second time. A disturbed nest fights back, and a can from the hardware store rarely reaches the inside.
A full treatment, every nest we find, is $259, and each extra nest is $39.
Carpenter Ants
A carpenter ant exterminator looks for water before looking for ants. They do not eat wood, they hollow out damp wood to nest in.
What you see: big black ants indoors, sawdust under a window or a patio joint, and a swarm in May. Winged ants mean an established colony, not scouts.
Why Candiac: the town has sixty-five years of trees. The first-development streets have mature maples, and the treed strips along the course hold stumps within flying distance of a deck. Irrigation also keeps the bottom of outdoor structures damp longer than elsewhere.
What fixes it: treating the colony and fixing the moisture. Treating the house without looking at the back of the yard means doing it again next year.
Indoor from $399, $399 for a house. Outdoors, $129 for one visit or $327 for three across the season, which is the right package when the source is in the yard.
Mice
Call a pest exterminator for mice early rather than late. One mouse in October is a family in January, and an exterminator for one mouse is the cheapest visit on this page.
What you see: droppings along a baseboard, the size of a grain of rice, then scratching in a wall around dusk.
Why Candiac: a mouse fits through a gap the width of a pencil. Hardened weatherstripping at the attached garage door is our number one entry point, then the dryer vent and the pipe runs. On a lot backing onto the green, the edge supplies a starting point all year rather than at harvest.
What fixes it: finding the entries, not just laying bait, and holding the perimeter on the green side. You get the list in writing.
From $409 in a unit, $429 for a house. Perimeter control is $299.
Bed Bugs, Cockroaches and Rats
A bed bug exterminator is called after something carried them in: travel, a used piece of furniture, a student room coming home. In the newer apartment buildings they then move from unit to unit. They live for months without feeding, so the second visit is not optional. From $429, up to $549 for a 10 ½, and $469 for a house.
An exterminator for cockroaches treats a building, not a door: roaches move through plumbing stacks and shared walls, so an exterminator for roaches covers the neighbouring units. In a detached house they arrive in cardboard and stay put. From $429 in a unit, $469 for a house.
Rats follow construction sites and waste containers. An excavation moves a colony into the neighbouring buildings within days. From $409, perimeter control $299.

When Candiac Pests Show Up, Month by Month
- March to May. Carpenter ants swarm once the wood thaws. Wasps start their first nests, still small and easy to settle.
- June to August. Wasps peak in August, and that is also when a mower finds a ground nest.
- September to November. The first cold nights push mice indoors, and the lots backing onto the green feel it first.
- December to February. Quiet outside, busy inside: whatever came in during the fall breeds in a heated wall.
Why Call Us Instead of Someone Else
- The price before the visit. Not a range: the number published on this page.
- We do not sell products. We do the treatment.
- Unmarked vans. No logo on the vehicles or the clothing.
- Follow-up is included. If it comes back inside the warranty, so do we, at no cost.
- Approved products. Registered for occupied homes, and no incident reported to the Quebec Poison Control Centre in 14 years.

Questions from Candiac Residents
How much does ant extermination cost?
$399 in a 4 ½ and $399 for a house, inspection included. Outdoors it is $129 for one visit or $327 for three across the season. In Candiac the outdoor package is often the right call, because the parent colony is nearly always in the yard or the treed strip behind it rather than in the wall.
I hit a wasp nest in the lawn while mowing. What now?
Back away and leave it alone until evening. A disturbed underground nest sends out workers for several hours, and running the mower over it again is the most common way people get stung repeatedly. Mark the spot from a distance, keep children and pets away, and do not pour anything into it: home remedies scatter the colony without reaching the queen. One nest is $189, and if the yard has several, a full treatment covers everything we find for $259.
When should I call an ant exterminator?
When you see ants indoors in winter, winged ants in spring, or sawdust in the same spot. All three mean an established colony rather than scouts. A few ants in the kitchen in July may just be passing through; sawdust under a window in February means they are living in the wood.
My yard backs onto the golf course. Does that change anything?
Yes, and it is worth telling us on the phone. Irrigated, fertilised turf stays green and diggable all summer, which makes it a good ground wasp nest site, and the margin works as a corridor for voles and mice. More importantly that edge does not go away: a lot backing onto a woodlot sees the pressure drop the day the woodlot is built on, which will not happen here. On those lots the useful work is at ground level and around the perimeter, redone each season, rather than indoors.
How do I choose an exterminator?
Licensed technicians, liability insurance, and a written warranty with the follow-up inside it rather than billed separately. Then three questions: is the price given before the visit or after the inspection? Does the quote cover the treatment or only the inspection? And what happens if it comes back inside the warranty?
Do you handle skunks and groundhogs?
No. We do not trap or relocate wildlife: no skunks, groundhogs, raccoons, squirrels, birds or bats. Large green spaces attract them, and a lawn turned over during the night is almost always a skunk digging for grubs. That needs a licensed wildlife specialist. We treat mice, rats and insects.
The prices shown are estimates for the most common cases and can change without notice. We do our best to keep them current. Your final price depends on what the technician finds on site: how far the infestation has spread, how easy the affected areas are to reach, the condition of the property, and how many visits the job needs. You always get the exact price before any work starts.
